I'm going to customize my Vaio laptop but I don't know whether +8G SSD would boost the speed and performance so that it would outweigh the 250G more capacity?

Hybrid HDD can give a nice boost to your laptop, while keeping storage capacity.

It will only cache on the ssd the most commonly accessed files, so great if you only use a handful of apps.

Gaming gets a little boost.
