I want to play at least medium everything on metro last light and get 50-60 frames.
I am going to upgrade ether my CPU or graphics card but I don't know which one to chose !

Current Setup : Dell Inspiron 620
300w PSU
8Gb Ram ( upgraded from 4gb )
generic dell lga 1115 mobo
i5 2320
dell amd 6670 1Gb gddr5
1tb HDD

I suppose it has an i5 which is a pretty good cpu for gaming.
However what you must do is two things:
1-Get a good graphic card 7770,7790,GTX 650 Ti, GTX 660 Ti or greater.
2-Get a decent 450-500watt power supply along with the graphic card

Your spec really isn't ideal for a game like Metro Last Light, I think you'd struggle to even get 30fps on low settings. You would need a better GPU, not a sub £100 one, and a higher wattage power supply to compensate its power needs

^This completely. Your CPU is still pretty decent. Your GPU, is right at the low end of graphics cards. Your budget will be the limiting factor as will the length of graphics card.

I would recommend a 600W power supply for extra headroom for if you want to upgrade again at some point - that way you don't need to fork out more money for a better power supply again.

Agreed, you need to measure your available room first. If you can't fit the length of a GTX660 or equivalent then you will need a new case as well.
You will definetly need a new PSU and graphics card though. My 660 pushes Metro Last Light just fine at max settings, so if money is a concern and you only want medium settings then a 650ti should work fine for you.
