i bought a refurbished system dell precision t3400
i have core 2 quad q9400
geforce 9800( temporary from friend )
i got 2 gbb ecc ram n i want upgrade it to atleast 4gb n take it to 8 gb after some time .......................... my question is that should i sell my ecc ram n buy non ecc ram or should i get ecc ...........i want to play games latest games 2013 will it effect my gaming or not????

Ecc is also for workstations which is what the dell precision is. But non ecc will be cheaper and ecc is useless for gaming. If it's ddr2 then don't waste your money.

ECC ram is meant for servers, it wont have anything to do with gaming, i would go with normal ram due to the price difference, does the ecc ram actually work with your computer?
