Previously running build, BIOS then black screen.

Hey guys, I've been pulling my hair out for the past half and hour trying to figure out what went wrong. This is my first build and I had everything up and running perfectly fine. I installed windows 8 and had everything running correctly.
I started having problems where the computer would stay running, but the display would cut out while I was playing Guild Wars 2 and I would have to turn the computer off by the switch on the PSU (the power switch on the case would not work). I uninstalled and updated the drivers for my graphics card after this happened a few times. This happened a few more times after the driver update, and I decided to try and reset the CMOS battery. After I took it out and placed it back in I started the computer up and the BIOS screen opened, beeped and then went to a black screen. This is as far as I can get into my computer. I have no access to windows or anything else (as a side note, I believe my monitor is the wrong resolution for my BIOS, so I have had problems with getting into it in the past). The problem here is that I cannot do anything once I reach this black screen. The BIOS will not go into any of its windows and there is nothing I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am sorry if the answer is something trivial, I have never done this before.

Okay I highlighted my main points above what I think your issues focus around, mainly first your underpower. Quick search of that card shows MINIMUM is 500W (http://www.amd.com/US/PRODUCTS/DESKTOP/GRAPHICS/7000/7850/Pages/radeon-7850.aspx#2) . I would recomment a 600W to be on the safe side to help power ALL components (hard drive, CPU, etc.) as the FIRST IMMEDIATE SOLUTION.

Second to that, your case 'power switch' not working is a IMMEDIATE ALARM BELL, you should have stopped right off. If your power switch is not working there is either just 'underpower' or WORSE a SHORT (which is metling / destroying your CPU, MoBo, and Video Card everytime you turn it on). After you replace the PSU, I would dismantle the entire computer, have ONLY CPU, MOBO, Memory and PSU (you have ONBOARD VIDEO) on a piece of wood (this is call breadboard) connected to the case power switch. If THIS DOES NOT BOOT TO BIOS / Powerswitch doesn't work, start over checking all connection, if this still doesn't work then you need to replace the CASE or DAMAGE the parts if you refuse to replace the case.

Third, you should be plugging the Monitor into the onboard video, first, getting the system UP and running then ADD the Video Card and disable On BOARD VIDEO via BIOS very LAST (when you reset the CMOS it defaults to back to ONBOARD VIDEO First, which is why your SCREEN is black<<******>>)

When you have those three parts done that everything PHYSICALLY WORKS, Electronically works, and you can get into and out of BIOS whether breadboard or everything 'securely and firmly' put inside the case, THEN LASTLY worry about Windows.
