Will these DDR3 RAM work on my motherboard?

  2. It will work, however the RAM linked below is on the supported RAM list for that motherboard which means it will be fully compatible and has been tested by the manufacturer with that mobo.

  5. Thanks guys. I'm a blue loving type of guy, but I want the best of the best. Any advantages or disadvantages between the two?
  6. Both lists are just a snapshot of what is on the market over 99% of all DDR3 will work. Neither gigabyte or gskill have the resources to check all the available respective products on the market for compatibility. I personally never use the QVL lists for that reason and have never run into incompatible ram.
  7. The Trident is CL10 the ripjaws CL11 making the Trident measurably faster but not noticeably.

    I never go by them either, and have never had an issue, but when recommending purchases to others I tend to go by the list so they can't use it against me if it doesn't work for some reason.
