You should just get a 550w PSU. (antec, XFX, COrsair, Seasonic) It will be more than enough for ANY GPU.

For the GPU, look for an hd7950 or gtx760. These will be the best GPU you can use without bottlenecking the CPU. In some CPU intensive games, there may be a small CPU bottleneck.

I'd recommend looking for one of the new Radeon R9 270X cards. A couple can be found for just under £150.

Also second the PSU advice given above. A good 550-600W PSU is more than enough for almost any single GPU setup.
