Hi everyone,

thanks for your help with my earlier questions - great site.

In preparation for BF4 I was wondering if it is worth the effort/money to invest in a liquid cooling system so I can OC my i7 2600 from 3.4Ghz to 4.0Ghz? I want to run BF4 on high at 30+ FPS.

I also have 12GB of RAM and a GTX 560ti although I will likely end up buying an R9 280x since I have a feeling my GTX is well past it's prime.

thank again everyone

Do you have a 2600 or a 2600K? The 2600 is locked although if you have an overclockable motherboard you can overclock 4 bins or 400Mhz over stock via the Turbo Boost function. Neither CPU would need a water cooler. A 2600K will hit ~4.5Ghz safely with a decent air cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo.

A Dell will not be overclockable at all. The BIOS will be locked even if you have a correct chipset.
