Just bought my first pc game last week (witcher 2) and am hooked! It doesn't run very smoothly because of my video card. Looking to buy a new 1.

My system:
gigabyte 990fxa-ud3
fx-8350
G.Skill sniper 16gb
Samsung 840 120 gb SSD
older raptor 150 gb HDD
silverstone 600 Watt modular
PNY GTX 260
2560 x 1600 Dell wfp 3007
dell 24" 1920 x 1200

Notes:
Not looking to overclock, have stock cpu cooler, case is an old Falcon Northwest with 2 Fans in back and 1 big fan in front. My power supply is old but works great, I would prefer not to replace it if possible, model number is: sst-st60f.

What I want:
- I want the video card to have two DVI outputs if possible; run dual monitors and neither have hdmi input.
- I will play all types of game; I would prefer to play them at the best settings at 2560x1600.
- would prefer to spend ~$150; no more than $200.
- I don't want to replace my power supply if possible.

Thank you,
- SniX

7950 if you can find it for $200.
You are playing on such high settings that it's hard to get a top of the line card for $200 but 7950 will suffice.

The power supply is the most important parameter when it comes to choosing a gfx card. Without knowing the make/model, it would be wrong to suggest a powerful card that would be too much for the PSU. Is this your PSU? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If so, it is a good one and can handle most cards out there. At your price range, the GTX 260 or HD 7870 would be a good choice.

And you would need 1 Mni Display port to DVI

This is probably the most bang for a buck as you can get.

and just about 25% over the max budget listed - for that price can get a GTX 760 which is better than a 7950

Thank you for the input; I have narrowed it down to 2 Video cards, they both have dual DVI's which I prefer;

Asus HD7870 - $179 after rebate (plus 2 free games, def added value for me)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

or

GIGABYTE GTX 660 - $179 after rebate (I would enjoy both of these I'm sure so added value)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Will these allow me to play majority of games @ 2560 x 1600 on ultra with my current system? Which 1 is better? Would possibly consider spending a bit more if it's necessary.

7870 is definitely the better of the two, if the 660 was the TI version it would get a slight nod .... next step up is the 270X at $210

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

then as mentioned, the jump to the 760 at $260
