I was seriously considering buying the Asus R9 280X Matrix, but nobody seems to have any info/vids on it. I thought all cards were released on Oct.14 (besides 290x). Is this card not out yet, or is it difficult to find because the small amount of info on it is foreign.

He made a typo, the 280X is a good choice, if you can't get a Matrix get the 280X Toxic from Sapphire or even a Vapor-X

I was going to get a toxic, but I have heard that at about %70 load it gets really loud, and the matrix would fit my black/red color scheme.

Well, to be honest, I wouldn't worry too much about it because an R9-280X is just a renamed HD 7970. Just get this one, it's the same card:

One issue, That is out of my budget.

If that's out of your budget, then you can't afford anything other than a normal R9-280X because they start at $300. If that's out of your budget as well, then you can't get an R9-280X, it's really that simple. Here's one for $300 that is also red and black to fit your colour scheme (colour scheme?! LOL):

This is as cheap as they get, period. The fact that it fits your colour scheme is a bonus. Believe me when I say that I am intimately familiar with the R9-280X simply because I have two HD 7970s in crossfire. It's a great card. The one I linked to also carries a lifetime warranty.

Oh and yes, R9-780X was a typo. I have since fixed it.

The Matrix looks to be a great card, that's what I sort of wwanted, but they sell out within hours of being availabel - actually so does the Asus CU TOP, but managed to grab one - think the Egg has gotten three shipments of each and sold out within hours of each - Great cards by the way....I'd keep checking the Egg, Tiger, think Fry's Electronics is carrying the Matrix, or contact them and see if you can order ahead

Yeah, I was considering fry's just because it is so local. And you're right, everytime I check newegg it is available and then disappears.
