Sapphire 7770 GHZ Edition Wont Work

I have a sapphire radeon 7770ghz edition in my rig right now. I switched cases about a month ago and the card didnt work when I turned it on again.

I have RMA'd the graphics card and got a new one. it still wont work.

Could it be the motherboard slot? I have tried both of them
I have an MSI 970A-g43

The powersupply still works and the rest of the system powers up

What should I do?

First of all, what is your entire setup? The PSU is important to know also.

So far, there could be many reasons for both GPU's to fail.

1. The PSU does not supply enough power (even though it may have in the past and could have been pushed to its limits, sometimes small changes can push it over).

2. You might have missed installing a mobo standoff.

3. The mobo slots are no longer functional.

4. An unrelated software issue such as drivers needing to be reinstalled for whatever reason.

Your PSU should be fine. So check 2. (because having a standoff in the wrong place could cause serious damage) then check 4. If neither of these helps, you might have dead PCIe slots.

I meant leaving a standoff in the case that was pre-installed. It might make contact with something conductive and cause issues.

Now I realise that if it worked before, it probably wasn't missing any anyway and you haven't switched mobos recently have you?

Anyway. Have you reinstalled the GPU drivers?
