Hello TomsHardware Community!

Recently I have been having some trouble with my Samsung laptop. Before I get started, I will post my specifications.

ACPI x64-Based PC (64 Bit)
ST500LM012 HN-M500MBB (Harddrive)
Intel Core i5 3rd Generation @ 2.5GHz X 2
AMD Radeon HD 7670M Graphics # 1 <- I run on Switchable Graphics System.
Intel HD 4000 Graphics # 2
RAM 4.00GB
Dual Monitors (One @ 60Hz and the other @ 75Hz)

Basically, what my problem is, when I play certain games like Minecraft, Garry's Mod and others I get around 80 - 120 FPS but my game stutters quite a bit. I know this is what happens with certain builds and systems but I am quite over it frankly.

List of games that stutter

- Garry's Mod (Very Rarely) 80 - 120 FPS
- Minecraft + Mods (A Lot) 60 - 200 FPS
- TF2 (Occasionally) 80 -120 FPS
- Planetside 2 (Occasionally) 25 - 60 FPS
- Ace of Spades (A lot) 30 - 40 FPS

Would anyone have any ideas on how to improve the performance AND stop the stuttering?

Thanks in advance!

~ Mr_StarDelta

PS - Also any tips on switchable graphics would be greatly appreciated!

How would I go about doing this for all my games? Or would I have to individually do it for every game. Is there a special option in CCC or RadeonPro that would be good for the Vsync?

Thank-you for your assistance, I can not currently find the Vertical Refresh rate as it is not in my current CCC version (and I don't want to play around with drivers too much) so I will set it in RadeonPro and all my games individually.

In side each game, under video options, or advanced video options, or what ever the particular game calls it, there should be a v-sync option. It is there that you turn it off.

Under rare circumstances, it may be forced on or off by default with no way to change it in game and sometimes even out of game. (Divinity does not allow v-sync with any known method, Skyrim forces it on, and has to be forced off at the drivers).
