Are you building this from scratch? ~$225 out of your budget for just a GPU is quite a bit, doesn't leave much for the rest of your build.

The FX 6300 is a comparable processor to the i3. The i3 beats it in single thread performance without a doubt, but if you are looking for best gaming performance, I would say the FX is a better option especially for future proofing. That is my opinion though, so take that with a grain of salt.

I really don't think you will find yourself wanting with an FX processor in day to day tasks, but the i3 definitely will beat it. A good balanced build will be had with the i3. But, if you want more emphasis on gaming performance than day to day, I'd suggest the FX.

The Core i3 is a great group of processors, but if budget is a big deal in this build, you could look into an AMD setup to free up some funds to be spent elsewhere.

What have you come up with in terms of other components, and what is your budget?

What AMD processor i can choose? my friend say core i3 will good enough for me because i need a fast single thread performance and good multi thread performance only for games, but if you have better choice i can switch to AMD, my total budged is 600$ the GPU i choose is AMD R9 270X or Nvidia GTX 760 if the price drop, i think that price segment is "sweet spot" and best bang for my buck, still, i need help in CPU side
