Removed HD from Dell Laptop (XP) and connected to Windows 7 laptop to move data. HD showed "offline" with a "signature" issue. I right clicked on Drive and clicked "Online". Open files fine. Put HD back into the old Dell Laptop and Hard Drive was not recognized at all... Error put in Install Disk... Drive was perfectly seated.

X is the drive letter that will be on your system for the drive as a representation.

Because I don't know if you have other devices in you computer.

If you only have one other hard drive it will most likely be E: or F: possibly D: if you don't have a ODD.

X like in algebra.. Find X replace it with its real value.
