Hey all,

I've been thinking bout getting the Asrock M8 barebone system. I would like to put GTX 780 in it.. But I've came across this:

From Tomshardware review:
ASRock recommends a graphics power limit of 200 W, probably because each of the PSU's two rails has a 216 W limit.

And here's GTX 780 official webpage:
Graphics Card Power: 250 W (W)
Minimum Recommended System Power (W) 600 W

So they recommend limit of 200W and 780 is 250W. That means it will actually work I think but how well? Will it over heat real fast and just die? As well, it recommends minimum system power of 600W but the M8 has 450W, another problem?

Ive looked at maybe getting AMD R9 290X but from what I understood, the power consumption of 290X is 300W. Is that correct?

Edit: Found this when comparing 780 to 770:

Power consumption Max TDP
GTX 770: 230W
GTX 780: 250W

Ive seen a M8 with 770 in it which is 30W more than the recommended..

Thanks all for the help.
