I just downloaded Battlefield 4. Started it up, and it is running verrry slow. like 2 fps, even when on the options screen and the graphics settings are on the lowest.

I'm not sure what the problem is, my PC runs other games just fine its a high end system

gtx 780

I had an issue in another game which wasn't even graphically taxing on my GTX 780.

Turned out to be mouse input software for my Logitech mouse.

I would suggest turning off or disabling anything that alters your inputs in a way. Advanced keyboard and mouse drivers etc.

Also unsupported game controllers.

The software runs in the background with a Icon down the bottom right to access it (Windows 7) for my Logitech mouse and Mech5 keyboard.

In control panel you can see your game controllers. These are joysticks, Xbox controllers etc.

I would also suggest updating graphics drivers.

Lastly check in-game settings try turning off vertical sync in case there is a incompatibility with mouse/screen and try different refresh ratings EG. 59Hz is pretty standard.

I played for the first time today and..
I have the exact same issue.

I did a bit of testing and research but it appears to be the fault of BF4 and nVidia graphics/Drivers.

They alerted me to wait up to a week for a ptch to become available fixing this issue.

this is probably not the answer you are looking for but I have to go to Options, video, and switch to borderless instead of fullscreen. It plays on ultra settings just fine but if I lowered all my options to lowest and go fullscreen, it laaaags so bad. I dont feel like chasing down a solution online so I'm just playing borderless mode and it looks and runs perfect.
