Error Code 34, New PC won't Boot or Post
PC keeps throwing an error 34-- "CPU post-memory initialization", also "Boot_Device" LED stays lit on mobo
New build:
Asus Rampage Extreme IV
Intel i7-4930k
Rosewill Capstone-750-m
Nvida Quadro K2000
SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
Flashed the BIOS with Asus update 4403 and 4502, same result with each.
Swapped RAM from known working computer.
Tried Different Optical drives, tried leaving all drives unplugged, swapped cables
Cleared CMOS via switch on MOBO, and removed small battery for a few minutes
Removed and reseated RAM and CPU multiple times
I think there may have been a few other things I tried-- brain is fried, must sleep...
Any ideas? Is the mobo just bad? I would be content calling the mobo bad if it weren't for that light about the boot device-- somehow I have a feeling the two issues are linked, but not sure what else to do to try and troubleshoot.
