Hey all, I was in the market to set up an SLI configuration with my Gigabyte GTX 660 ti (GV-N66TOC-2GD) but I cannot find another one that is either in stock or at a reasonable price. I understand that I can get the normal, unoverclocked one (GV-N66TWF2-2GD) and have my original drop down to the speed of the new card.

What I was wondering, was if I could just overclock the new one and have them both run at the OC edition speed. Thanks!

I'm not sure if Nvidia works the same way, but I have two 7870s running at different core/memory clocks. One card is 1000/1200 and the other is 1050/1250. If I go to CCC I can pick either card and it shows me the clocks for it. I have had no issues having the cards running at different speeds. I see no reason why Nvidia would be any different.

Yes the clocks will drop down to the card with the lower clocks and operate at the same speed. You can then overclock both of them to be at the same speed with MSI Afterburner
