So i've just completed the build of my first rig but upon booting i get the cpu over temperature error. The fan, and all fans are spinning and the air over the cpu doesn't feel warm. However once i go into the temp menu by pressing f1 the cpu temp read out flashes N/A a few times then its maxed at 260 degrees. Seems impossible since its freshly being booted. I took off the heat sink after to see if i could feel if the cpu was hot but it wasnt.
The thermal paste is a little smeared form me taking off and removing the heat sink several times in the initial install, should i purchase more and reapply?
