Hey guys, just wanted your opinion on an upgrade. I currently have an evga gtx 560 ti 2gb fermi, I want to upgrade but do not have the cash.

Here are the options I was considering:
1. Buy a second card for sli. I found one new for 109 bucks.
2. Save for a newer card r9 280x or gtx 770
3. Run my system until all the parts aee outdated, then upgrade.

Im looking to game at 1080p with good graphics. Ultra settings with anti aliasing turned down is ok for me, good textures are more important to me.

I read somewhere that it is more logical to buy hardware fit for that current generation and then upgrade accordingly a la option 3

Current specs:
I5 2500k processor
Z68MA-D2H-b3 mobo
8gb ram
Evga gtx 560ti 2gb fermi

Thanks!

Your CPU is still good, get a 770 and game on.

I think dropping a second 560ti would be the smartest thing to do as long as you have a PSU that can handle it. For right around $110 you can double your current frame rate in most games.
