Both are great cards. You can't go wrong with any of them. I like more the Matrix.

If you have no plans on overclocking the cards, the Toxic 280X is the fastest 280x on the market. However, if you want to get your hands dirty, the 280X Matrix is likely to be able to be pushed farther than the Toxic because of the voltage controls.

Also, remember the Asus Matrix cards have a 3 slot cooler, so if you plan on having 2, make sure your motherboard/case has enough space for them.

Thank you for all your opinions, I guess you mean the sapphire toxic with the 3 cooler fans,

thanks for the info, is there any benchmark between these two cards?

in a local store the matrix plat is more 70 euros (90 USD) then the toxic is it worth? I was more into the asus because I have a ROG motherboard just to match.

The sapphire toxic is better than the matrix in every way, if you wanna match, try to find a cheap matrix 7970, the 280x matrix is just overpriced. What country do you live in? I mean like where do you buy your components, in newegg, the 280x matrix is the cheapest out of
the sapphire 280x or the 7970 matrix.

I'd go with the sapphire toxic, I can't find reviews of the dual X, but all of the toxic reviews say that it's currently the best graphics card under £300, so I'd go with that.

There is a direct comparison on the kitguru review of the sapphire r9 280x toxic, when you check the thermal dynamics page and acoustics, it hase both graphics cards on the graph. check it out here the charts show that the sapphire toxic cools 10*C better than the matrix, and the toxic is around 1 db louder (not noticable), I think the toxic is the way to go. The toxic should also be a little bit faster, since it's the highest clocked 280x (and it's around gtx 780 levels). The toxic card is the way to go

I dont usually case for looking, but I was more into the asus because my board is the asus ROG maximus vi formula, and I wanted to continue the match of the red/black on the rest of the components, Do you know if I purchase that TOxic can I paint the yellow plate into RED? that would be great!

Kind regards and thanks alot for your opinion maza90210.

A better alternative could be the asus 280x directu 2 graphics card, great cooler, and it suits the colour scheme. I'm not sure about painting the graphics card (I'm not exactly a modder) I'd just search how to paint a graphics card or something. Some other alternatives could include the asus gtx 680, or the asus gtx 770, Is the matrix 7970 available? if that's cheap, I'd go for that.

Matrix actually heats a little bit more than the Asus 280x TOP edition and it is even more expensive so I would actually go with the TOP edition from ASUS. 280x TOXIC has great performance but a friend of mine has it and he complains about the fan noise being too loud.

Not really, TBH I keep on hearing about issues about the matrix cards, I'd recommend the asus 280x top, the 7970 directcu2 has issues as well.
My final recommendation would be the Asus r9 280x directcu2 card.

Yes Asus r9 280x DC2 TOP is probably the best 280x you can buy. It even heats less than the matrix and the performance difference is almost nonexistent, mostly 1-2 FPS which does not matter anyway. I had my friend buy a 280x toxic because I told him to buy that one but now he is angry because of the fan noise and it heats up a lot when he reduces the fan speed.

So you all recoment the "Asus R9 280x DC2 TOP" right? probably cheaper than the matrix, I think this one isnt inserter on the Republic of Gamers, do I lose anything for not being? Or isnt just kinda "fanpage" lol

TOP is great.

You will not want ROG Matrix unless you are going to do some hardcore overclocking using hotwire-soldering on the pins provided so you can bypass the current-voltage limits and overclock it to the moon and maybe burn the card in the process.
