Hello!

The SSD is relatively new on the storage market and not very cheap compared to an HDD, but faster so I want to spend the littlest amount of money to an SSD for running Windows on it because of the speed.

Does anyone of you know what the recommended size is for running Windows 8.1 64x bit on a SSD and if it's useful to run Windows on a SSD?

Usually, most people run the OS on the SSD, with other files on a separate HDD. Using the SSD for Windows makes boot up times and loading files much quicker. As for size, the very minimum you would want would be 60GB, but to be honest, 128GB is more realistic (as you need to keep at least 10% of the space free to make sure the SSD runs smoothly) and to add eg office programs. The best value in SSDs tend to be round the 250GB mark, for bang per buck.
