Hey guys

A couple of weeks ago I started a thread about my monitor randomly going black and turning back on again during certain games at first, all games later, then even while browsing and finally failing to give a signal upon booting.

I was told that the problem was my PSU and not the motherboard, so today I got a brand spanking new ocz 650 watt powersupply along with a coolermaster elite 430 case. Unfortunately, the problem is still there. Everything is turning on, all the fans are running, I can hear my harddrive etc. There are also no error codes from the speaker. Everything is connected as it should be, the videocard has been plugged in correctly and my monitor is connected to my videocard correctly. The monitor is not broken (it's not working on the monitor I'm currently on either).

I could really use some help and advice :(

Does your motherboard have integrated video, or do you have a GPU you can test with?
If you have integrated, remove the video card and try to use the onboard.
If you have another GPU for testing, (even if 'borrowed' out of another case), try to boot up with that one to see if you get a display.

I'm guessing you have tried the obvious stuff as well, but just in case:
Reseat both your GPU, and while open Reseat the RAM as well - try & boot
Take out all extra expansion cards as a bad one can impact booting - try & boot
Take out all RAM, turn on PC. If you get continuous beeping the Motherboard is good
If you have 1 RAM stick, move to another slot - try & reboot
If you have 2 sticks of RAM, try just 1 with boot, if no luck try other
Check and double check that the motherboard isn't grounded anywhere to the case, etc.
Make sure CPU is good, remove heat sink, place finger on CPU and turn on the PC. Should feel heat within two seconds, unplug PSU before 4-5 seconds. If you felt heat the CPU is good.

Thanks for the reply. My gpu is not the problem. I initially thought the problem was my R6850 and I had it tested, but it ran valley fine for 3 hours. My hd 4850 doesn't work either, as do my integrated graphics. I'll try reseating the ram.
