Only half RAM "enabled"

Hi I am having problems with my PC. I have 4 RAM sticks Kingston HyperX Predator installed, 4gb each 2400mhz with XMP. They worked fine recently, but when I opened the task manager yesterday it only shows 8 gb. Later in CPU-Z I checked SPD specs, it recognize all the 4 sticks but at 1333mhz. Then I entered BIOS and got this:

It detects the 4 sticks but only half is "enabled" (The bios won't let me change the XMP profile to 2400, only 1600). I proceeded to reseat all the sticks, cleaned the pins of the memories and the sockets. Nothing. I reseated the CPU; nothing. I checked the Windows boot advanced options and max memory option is disabled. The BIOS version is the latest. I checked the memory used by internal graphics, it's disabled. I checked the PSU (1200w) voltages with a tester, all is OK. I cleared BIOS, nothing.

PC specs:
Motherborad: Gigabyte GA-Z77x-UD3H
RAM: Kingston HyperX Predator 2400MHZ
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k
Graphics: Radeon HD 7990
PSU: CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 1200w
OS: Windows 8 Pro 64 bit

I don't know what else can I do. Please help!

Solution
At this point, I would remove your CPU from the socket and inspect for any bent/missing pins (the CPU hosts the memory controller). This could very well be the root of the problem.

If only two memories are installed is the same thing, It won't let me change the XMP and only run at 1333 or 1600

No, I have not done the memtest yet, I will do it right now and post the results. Thanks!

Your BIOS RAM Support is up to 1600MHz Native... you have to overclock the RAM to enable 2400MMhz. Download the GA-Z77X-UD3H user manual and read page 41 for full details on how to... but first try Loading Optimized Defaults pressing F7 In M.I.T. Menu\Advanced Memory Settings to Load the Optimized BIOS default settings for the current submenu... then Enable X.M.P.

Just completed memtest, the same as the bios... detects 4 ram sticks (4gb each) but only tested 8 gb.... At least no problem with the 8gb of the RAM detected. :(

Thanks COLGeek, I just did that and it's still the same. :( I think I will submit a ticket to Gigabyte...

I have already reseated the CPU, but I will inspect the pins very closely , take pictures and post the results, Thanks!

Also try updating the North Bridge drivers (Chipset drivers from the Mobo CD).. if the problem suddenly appeared, it's possible it could be related to software and not to hardware. Drivers can fail from logon to logon without apparent reason... and they can fail to load or to work efficiently, so driver failure can give different symptoms, and it's possible the North Bridge drivers are only recognizing part of the installed RAM.

I think Chipset drivers and BIOS update(?) still haven't been considered.

Thanks Chicano, my MB already has the latest BIOS version, the F18. There is another way to update the Z77 chipset?

The latest Chipset driver for the GA-Z77X-UD3H Motherboard (Driver version 8.1.0.1263 dated 2012/09/20), is available at the Gigabyte website...

Go to http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4153#dl and click on Support and Downloads \ Download type: Drivers Choose your OS: Windows 8 64 Bit... scroll down to Chipset, and download the driver from Intel Management Engine Interface Version: 8.1.0.1263 Size: 54.48 MB Dated: 2012/09/20 Download from: America

Obviously if that's the same driver version installed in your system, you should go ahead and reinstall it anyway to make sure it's a fresh and trouble free driver...
