Hey there.
So I want to add new ram sticks into my motherboard that already has 4GB of OCZ Gold - http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-ddr3-pc3-12800-gold-limited-series-low-voltage-dual-channel.html
Now comes the question though... In order to insert another kit of dual ram sticks I need something that has the same MHz, timer and voltage and I've come across some kingston that from what I can see has the same but I just want to make sure that I'm right - so the kingston ram sticks are - http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KHX1600C9D3K2_8GX.pdf

Appreciate any help in the matter. Cheers.

Solution
When running two or more sticks with different settings, the BIOS will pick the slowest settings for compatibility. In your case, the BIOS should run the memory at 9-9-9-27.

The OCZ sticks show a voltage of 1.65V in their specifications, while the Kingston sticks are rated for 1.5V. That could cause a stability problem. You would have to either undervolt the OCZ sticks or overvolt the Kingston sticks. I'd try undervolting the OCZ sticks first, since undervolting doesn't damage anything like overvolting can. Worst case, the OCZ sticks can't run that low, and your computer will crash. If so, just reset the voltage and try to find a different set of memory that runs at the same voltage.

Hmm I see though in the text for the kingston is says - "Each module kit has been tested to run at DDR3-1600 at a low latency timing of 9-9-9-27 at 1.65V." And on the webpages I've found where I can buy them it says 1.65V :S
