So basically here is the situation, I ordered the new AMD R9 290x off of Newegg (sapphire edition with bf4 bundle) and it came in just this morning. I put it in my setup and took out my sapphire 7970, plugged all the cables in and started her up. After getting all the drivers setup I booted Bf4 up and loaded a match. Within three minutes or so I received a BSOD (Stop: 0xA0000001). This has happend on both MP and SP respectively. I have not touched any of the settings for overclocking or anything just right out of the box settings. The only thing I did change was set the max temp to 80C and max fan speed up to 75% (instead of 55 stock). Even with the settings stock it still crashes and gives me the BSOD.

I've tested the game with my 7970 and everything seems to run perfectly fine, it's only the 290x that is causing me problems and I don't know what else to do to fix it. Any help is appreciated and specs are below.

i5 4670k @ Stock
Sapphire Radeon R9 290x
G Skill Ares 16gb @ 1866

3TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpms
800W corsair GS
Corsair h60 cooler

EDIT: I also play on a Yamakasi Catleap 1440p @ 60Hz

Thanks for the answers but I went to Newegg support and complained about it and have been granted in store credit for my card. I'll be considering getting a 780 most likely since it is on par with the 290x plus a lot cooler...
