ok i know montior quality and calibration play a big role on looks, but its been so long since iv asked i forgot what makes nvidia better i know AMD tend to give more price/performance however nvidia i assume does somthing to make it worthwhile.

i like all the fancy effects and graphics and such so does nvidia look better coupled with high end monitors as opposed to amd? i have been using radeon for awhile its been a bit since i chose nvidia.

i know nvidia has physics that radeon i beliewve does not what else am i not seeing

More about : nvidia radeon amd graphics wich

New technology

NVIDIA
Most important to me,
-Gsync, nvidia said with the new tech, the refresh rate from the monitor would be gone, such would increase fluidity in gaming.

AMD
Mantle
-Quoted "Speaking the native languge of the GCN architecture," meaning, it would improve game performance by better utilizing the GPU.

NVIDIA have PhysX and some other graphics enhancement coming up like fire, etc.

Just, chose what you feel you need more, right now, AMD is killing NVIDIA in term of price & performance. The R9 290X @ $550 beats the GTX 780 @ $500 and is on par on most with the GTX Titan @ $1000. On to the lower tier cards, The R9 280X is on par with the GTX 770. Anyway, I feel right now, AMD is better than NVIDIA in terms of gaming performance.

well performance is not as interesting as detail and style / how it looks, however qim no video or gammer pro so i dont know if nvidia has an edge on it all when it comes to quality picture? however i found some games i like and intened on making the investment

I don't understand what you mean by quality picture. All a gpu does is render what the game graphics offer. Yes there are some bits part in like PhysX etc, but picture quality depends on the game, your monitor. Beside, style is really important but it is just personal preferences.

With g-sync if i understand it correctly the refresh rates are not gone but instead it will be dynamic. With g-sync the refresh rate change from time to time in accordance to frame rates. The pro about g-sync is it will work with any games. The con so far you need mid range kepler based gpu at the very least and the tech is locked to nvidia at the moment.

About mantle the success will depends on how amd able to convince developer to code their game in mantle along side directx/opengl. No matter how you look at it adding mantle support for any game will add more cost and time in development. Also since mantle main goal is to increase performance less demanding game might not need it if directx/opengl able to provide good enough performance on the pc.

AMD killing nvidia in price/performamce isn't new. Also to nvidia it doesn't matter to them if 290X beat Titan since Titan sold as semi-pro card. For those need the compute power but doesn't have the money to get tesla or quadro titan at 1k is a steal. Anyway we haven't had true price war for quite a time so it is a great time for those in the market for new gpu.

hmm ok that answerted my ext question is g-snych just for nvidia, well now im wondering i have always heard frame rates beyond 60fps isn't really much better even with a 120htz monitor or maybe im misunderstanding that?

Those who say that FPS beyond 60 and 120 isn't different are those who have not used it. It does.
