R9-280x Asus vs Gigabyte R9-280x?

Solution
Also, if there are any NVidia specific features you might like the 280X is almost identical to a GTX770 in performance in price:

A stock 770 beats a stock 280X averaging over several games so the Asus DCU2 version of the 770 would be a couple percent faster.

The only "advantage" to the 280X is the extra 1GB of VRAM which isn't much use for a single monitor up to 2560x1440.

I also really like the current 770 games package:
a) Batman Arkham Origins
b) Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
c) Splinter Cell Blacklist

The new SHADOWPLAY streaming/recording function also works great. I just tested it.
