How to determine the BIOS update necessary for new CPU?

I'm upgrading from an APU to dedicated CPU and GPU. I have a Gateway DX4380g-UW308. It came with the a6-5400k APU. I decided to upgrade to an Athlon X4 750K CPU and HD 7770 GPU. I know that I have to update the BIOS prior to CPU installation, but I don't know which BIOS version to update to. I currently have version P11 A1. Which BIOS update should I go with?

If you cannot find a CPU support list, don't waste your money on the 750k. Most likely it won't work. Gateway is horrible about not listing system specs on their site.

Doesn't look hopeful.

On the other hand, if you SELL it and add that to the cost of the 750K and CPU you'd have almost $500 to put towards a better computer.

The other option is just upgrade the graphics card and disable the iGPU.

Didn't update BIOS and everything is working. In-fact, I'm running the new setup right now. Slight confusion with temp jumps, still unsolved however.
