Hello,

I'm building a £300 budget office system. I saw the Gigabyte 970A-DS3P but it says "
To enable AM3+ AMD FX-Series CPU support, please update your motherboard with the most current BIOS found in your motherboard’s download section." on the website.

I was wondering if the FX6300 which is an AM3+ would work on this system, as it says that I need to upgrade the BIOS which I can't do if it doesn't accept the CPU in the first place.

Also if you can recommend any other motherboards in that price range I would appreciate it thanks!

I checked their website for cpu support.
The only bios available for the board is F1. This is the first release bios. The website also states that the 6300 is supported under F1 bios.
I looked at a few other motherboards and the warning message is on all of the boards I looked at.
As far as I can determine from their website the 6300 is supported on that board from the start. Meaning no need to update the bios.
