Cheap ssd good or bad?

It is Re-certified or Refurbished. It was once sold and then returned for whatever reason under warranty. It was likely evaluated and deemed a cheap enough repair to justify labor costs and re-sell it. You will likely not find out what the original problem was. Great for hobbyist and maybe not such a good idea for those who put a higher value on data integrity.

It says they are refurbished, so that's why they're extra cheap. The buyer reviews on the site are positive, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy.
(It doesn't work with Haswell Cpus, so if you have a new PC with a CPU model starting with a 4 then don't buy it)

I have a gaping hole in my knowledge when it comes to SSD's. Why would it not work with Haswell?

Follow the link in the first post, and read the short description just above the price where it says:
"Read Speed: 285MB/Sec, Write Speed: 275MB/Sec, Flash: MLC, Controller: SandForce 1200, 1 Year Warranty. *Not suitable for Haswell*"

Also, one of the reviewers on the site says it doesn't work with his Haswell system. Of course it could be BS, who knows :)
