2 Graphics Cards on Laptop

I am having some trouble, I have a laptop with two graphics card one Intel 4000 and Nvidia 670M, I feel that my laptop should be able to run any game at really high graphics with this card but it struggles with even medium to low. Which makes me thing when I play games the Intel one is still running it is there anyway I can just make it so my nvidia card does everything?

Can you deselect the hd 4000? Also, under you BIOS, if not under an iGPU configuration, look for it in system agent configuration and shut off Intel HD Graphics.

How do I know which one is set as my dedicated? it just shows them both and yes my power mode is set to high performance.

I disabled the Intel card but now when I try to open games it just comes up with an error saying cannot find display adaptors even though my nvidia card is on...
