Recently bought a wireless usb adapter - realtek wireless 11n usb - and installed the drivers that came with the usb. I have a lot of difficulties trying to connect to my router even though I have very good signal strength and I know the passkey. When I try connecting to the network it usually times out, and other times will connect to the router but will have limited access and won't be able to get me on the internet. It's almost a matter of luck just to get on the internet most of the time... Tried reinstalling the drivers on the cd but I still experience the same issues.

I would download the latest online drivers and install them. Also insure that you are using the same security type and encryption.

In the device manager do you see the Realtek wireless adapter and does it indicate that it is working properly? If it is, you might try updating the drivers to the latest online through the update drivers button in the device manager for the adapter.

Hi, I've had this problem for years now and just found out that it has to do with the certificates not being accepted some how. I hope we can find an answer. At this point it is a crap shoot trying to enable an internet connection. I will enable and disable RealTek dongle several times before a connection is made... if I don't wear out first!
