Audio Driver is Missing

Hello, my audio driver is missing from device manager. It is not in "other" subcategory. I tried scanning for hardware changes with no effect. I should be using conexant hd audio. How can i restore my audio?

Usually you get a drivers disc with the PC for the motherboard (if built in audio ) or soundcard (if separate) which will have the driver on it - just reinstall it and see if that works. Alternatively, you could download the latest drivers from the PC manufacturers or soundcard website (usually the easiest way), and reinstall it from there.

The problem is conexant went out of business. And when i try to download the driver, the installer says that it cannot find MEDIA device
