Hi all,

I am from the UK and am looking for a new graphics card for my pc. My current setup is a Q6600 overclocked to 3.2GHz, 8GB DDR3 10600 ram, Gigabyte G41m Combo motherboard. I am looking for a new graphis card for use with gaming, but also because I am studying for an engineering degree and therefore have to use a lot of CAD/analysis software (Solidworks, AutoCad, Creo & Matlab etc) and have been told that a decent graphics card will help with image rendering and system modelling etc. I am prepared to spend upto £130 and have so far found 4 graphics cards which I would like to choose from, although I am not entirely sure which one to go for so I would like some advice please?

Here are the three;

1. EVGA NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650Ti SSC 1GB - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/evga-nvidia-geforce-gtx-650ti-ssc-pci-e-graphics-card-1-gb-19338688-pdt.html

2. SAPPHIRE HD 7770 GHz Edition OC 1GB - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/sapphire-hd-7770-ghz-edition-oc-pci-e-graphics-card-1-gb-21491627-pdt.html

3. SAPPHIRE AMD HD 7790 OC Edition 2GB - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/sapphire-amd-hd-7790-oc-edition-pci-e-graphics-card-2-gb-21491628-pdt.html

4. ASUS AMD RADEON HD 7790 1GB - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/asus-amd-radeon-hd-7790-pci-e-graphics-card-1-gb-21487098-pdt.html

Some people have said that the nvidia would be better for use with matlab as the CUDA cores can be used by matlab for better performance?, although others have said that the performance of the 7790 is superior to the 650Ti. If anyone could suggest which is the best out of these 4 then it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
