Hi, I followed the instructions on how do install the drivers for my non-genuine xbox receiver for windows 7. The controller doesnt seem to sync. Any ideas? i tried on 2 computers. Would it be the reciver itself? I did work but i have re-installed Windows since

You said it yourself a "non-genuine xbox receiver". Third party things do not tend to work as well as the genuine things. This "xbox receiver" you gotten could be defective. Half the time third party things don't work.
Try to maybe get an adapter that connects directly to your controller and to the pc.
