Just picked this up at Tiger Direct for $69 :bounce:(no rebate, they had it advertised on the shelf and honored it even though sale ended and it was marked back up to $114)

I currently have a Dell 8000 with a 350w psu. Should I go ahead and install it with this set-up or should I upgrade before even installing. If so, what would you recommend for a psu, and preferably one that I can pick up at Tiger Direct, I feel that I owe them my business.:)

Ahhh never mind. Just ran my specs on eXtreme Power Supply Calculator, and min rec was 313w and recommended was 363w and I'm at 350 so I think that should do.

By the way, how would I know if it weren't enough. I mean signs and symptoms of a mismatch.

Well since its whatever Dell put in there its probably cheap, and stressing it near maximum wattage might make it do something unexpected. You'll probably be fine trying it, but personally I would not risk damaging components.

I have the MSI 7770 in my PC now and all seems well. Should I still upgrade the PSU?? Current one is a Dell 350 and suggested replacement is a Corsair CX500. If I replace the psu the only remaining part that would be from the original Dell would would be the Motherboard. Never Dell again!
