After changing OS XP to Win 8/8.1 I have no sound. I have downloaded all drivers possible and worked with driver software for my Realtek sound card, but still no sound. Windows 8 just will not support my sound card. I been looking at your USB sound cards and I don't know if this would work and allow me to listen to music and movies on my pc. Which one would you subject and what procedures would I have to make to succeed.

You could try installing the latest drivers available (probably XP) in Windows 8 using compatibility mode, although the odds are probably less than 50/50. Unfortunately, all of the USB sound cards I know only have drivers up through Windows 7. They are pretty cheap though and it is possible that one might work for you like THIS ONE if you want to gamble.
