Question about standoffs on the Asus Z87-plus

Hi everyone, this is probably a simple question, but I wanted to make sure. The Z87-plus only has six standoff points on the board itself, it doesn't have any on the far right side as far as I can see. But everything I've read says you're supposed to use nine. In the user guide, it says to use nine screws, but it only shows six points. Do I just use the six points it has and leave the right side unsupported, or do I put the standoffs under it on the back of the board? I just don't want the board to get shorted out by using the standoffs wrong. But I also don't want the board to be unsupported in a vital place. I would imagine I just use the six points it provides and leave the rest of the standoffs out, but I've never done this before, so I wanted to check with the pros. I'm assembling my computer now, so I'd be extra grateful if somebody had a quick answer for me. Thank you all in advance.
