Hi, i recently built a new system that seemed to be working fine until i got home from work today. When i went to turn my comp on, it wouldn't boot. The fans would spin, hds and dvd rom would spit, but no signal would be sent to the monitor or peripherals. I dont hear any beeps or anything either. Ive tried clearing the cmos, and have checked all connevtions.

I haven't changed anything and the system was working fine when i left. Any ideas?

Specs:
Amd 8350
8gb corsair vengeance
Radeon 7850 1gb
Rosewill bronze 1000 watt psu
Windows 7

It could be a bad MB, it happened to me with a 3 week old Asus M5A99x, however, it still could be the PS. PS's are easier to check, more likely to go bad and easier to replace. SO if you have any old PS, even if it does't have six pin GPU connector, you can use a 4 pin to 6 pin adaptor. Do you have a friend with an old PS. Or you can get cheap PS testers. However, does your MB have any type of error indicators? The only other definative test requires a basic volt/ohm meter to test the leads on the 20 pin power connector. That will tell you if the PS is good and the MB is bad.

Just went all those steps to no avail. I just tried booting with no ram and heard no beeps. This is indicative of a faulty mobo, correct?
As a side note: this comp had been working for over a month prior

The gray wire is really important. It should go from 0 to +5 volts when you turn the PSU on with the case switch. CPU needs this signal to boot.

You can turn on the PSU by completely disconnecting the PSU and using a paperclip or jumper wire to short the green wire to one of the neighboring black wires."

Its a lot of work, but buying a new MB and finding out it the was the PS all along is worse!

Lastly: according to this list, updated a week ago, Rosewill PS's are not recommended!
