I have spent a while searching for an answer to my query but havent been able to find thread which matches my system (below). Id be very grateful for someone's response - Im still learning.

I recently built my first PC:

CPU: i5 4440
MB: Asrock B85 mini ITX
Case: Silverstone SG-06 with 300w PSU
RAM: 8gb kingston
HD: 500gb WD
SSD: 120 samsung

Disappointingly I realise I should have gone for a high powered PSU to give me options with the GPU.

After research I was about to buy:
Sapphire Radeon HD7750 1GB Low Profile for $119 here in Australia.

However, I have looked at a power supply checker which says I should be able to use a cheaper and more powerful card:
MSI Radeon HD7770 Power Edition 1GB OC $99

The power supply checker recommends a PSU of 252W for my system with the 7770 (I have 300w).

Am I ok to go for the HD7770 - will it fit in my small form factor case / mobo?

Or is there another card, perhaps more powerful, which my system can handle in this price range. Card is for gaming, video editing, running two monitors.

Many thanks for any responses.

Solution
You are in luck since it is a decent 300watt PSU with 264watts of those 300 available on the +12 volts and has a 6 pin PCIe power connector. Go ahead it will accept full size card up to 10" long and the PSU will handle a 7770. Probably will handle R7 260X as well.

Cheers, really appreciate the advice. Can I go higher or will the 7770 be the upper limit of my PSU?
