My computer crashed a couple of months ago (darn kids clicking on everything not knowing viruses, malware, etc. are just waiting). That's controlled now, system back working again (windows 7 pro) but now my computer won't recognize the hdmi (high def) input. It shows the background but nothing else. Can't see mouse, icons, nothing. The PC input works fine, but is not hi-def. Any suggestions? I'm sure this is easy but I am not extremely savvy on computers, but know more than the average person. Should I download a previous driver for NVidia (GeForce GTX 460)? Thanks for your suggestions.

check on the back of the pc see if your main video plug on the onboard video or the gpu. if it on the mb then the gpu going to be set as display port two. if it is in the bios you have to make sure muilt monitor is turned on to turn the gpu card on. if your pc monitor is on the gpu card then under nvidia control panel with both monitors connected you should be able to select set up muilt displays and the gpu card if the drivers are installed right shoudl see both.
