500 watts enough?

hey guys

my old powersupply went in for repair so its gonna take weeks for it to come back, in the mean time I have a 500 watt powersupply and I was wondering if it was enough for the build I have :::

7950 sapphire vapour-x
intel core i5 760 2.8 ghz
8 gb ddr3 corsair ram
1.5 terabyte harddrive
asus p7p55de-lx motherboard..

That P-CG is rated for 30 amps on the 12v rail. If it was a quality unit it would be labeled as a 400w power supply.

30 amps is what is recommended for your HD 7950 though. So as long as your PSU can put out it's rated wattage you are probably OK.

Cheap low quality units very often can't supply the power they are rated at and the power they do supply is 'dirty' with high ripple and noise that can even damage components. Seventeam is not a name associated with quality power supplies. In fact they are known for some real junk.

Is it a 505w or a 550w? I don't see a 505w on their list. Do you know the model?

its a seventeam p-cg 505
I mean ive ben using this powersupply on my old rig for over 2 years just need to know cause I m gonna get a return of my cx600m anyways
