Hi everybody. I am looking to upgrade my rig for the next gen and would like any input you have on ALL aspects of the system. These are my specs:
Intel core i5 3570k CPU @ 3.40GHz, ASRock z77 Extreme4 motherboard, 8GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB, 120GB SAMSUNG SSD and 450V PSU

Maybe double my ram to 16GB? I was also thinking of getting another 680 and using them in SLI, although i am open to other suggestions. More power would be needed with newer parts? Upgrade to i7 even? The money isnt an issue but I want realistic ideas. All ideas are very much appreciated :)

Solution
Realistically, you dont have to do anything. There is no such thing as GDDR5 as far as RAM goes. Thats VRAM not RAM. ANd there is no reason to get 16gb of RAM for gaming. None. So you should be fine for "next gen".

What about the GPU? Is it worth adding another 680 or something like that, or going for a new card all together? and the processor?
