Hi
My brother needs a new system for around £1100 preferably lower. He wants two 4gb gtx 770s for his surround setup. I know its a big ask but is it possible for this price. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you thought about looking at getting a used W8 PC from someone who hates it with an i3/i5 in it which has a zero sum graphics card to replace; to throw the GTX 770`s in?

You can get them well under 450 quids
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zoostorm-7877-0306-Business-Processor-Professional/dp/B009PNCPT2/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1383132617&sr=1-3&keywords=i5+windows+8

Then stick windows 7 shell on top.

No that is not a good idea.
1. They are used
2. Bad quality components inside
3. Bad cooling

Just build your own from scratch, i am building a pc with 2 770's in also and i chose this psu: http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-SuperNOVA-NEX750G-Fully-Modular/dp/B00A03W6XG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383134270&sr=8-1&keywords=EVGA+nex+750g
10 year warranty
80 plus gold

Or if you want to spend more for a higher more premium one then get this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Series-Platinum-CP-9020044-UK-Warranty/dp/B00AO0YRMI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383134312&sr=8-1&keywords=ax860
7 year warranty
80 plus platinum
fully modular

What are the full specs of the system?
So i know how much power it will draw if you need a bigger or smaller one.
Ask me if you need anything else!

EDIT: Did you want a full system list/build? Or just the psu? I can list a build if you want ;)

Any 850 W PSU with 80 Plus Silver should be good enough.

There are reviews for some PSU's out there, I bought last year a XFX Pro 750 for my 560 TI SLI setup... and it worked just fine. For SLI 770 I would suggest the 850W PSU model. however XFX as the 80 bronze I beleive, but the reviews about the 750 model at least were great, and therefore it was the best bang for the buck.

I was thinking of
Amd fx 8320
Gigabyte ga990fxa ud3
Enermax ets t40
8gb corsair vengeance ram
2x msi twin frozer gaming edition cards
120gb samsung 840 evo
Xfx core edition 850w psu
Corsair carbide 300r window
And windows 8
We have a server so he wont need any hard drives. Iwas just looking for help on the power supply but if you have any improvements for the full system I'm all ears

First of all i would recommend getting that EVGA gold psu if you are worried about the corsair coil whine, i recently built a system with it and it is fairly quiet.
Can you upgrade to an 8350?

The two CHEAPEST GTX 770`s will cost 700 pounds with an SLi bridge from Play.com (the cheapest place I have found in the UK for PC/game gear).

That leaves him 400 pounds for the rest of his system.

Do the math.

My i7 4770 chip cost me $300 alone
Z87 Sabertooth cost me $260+
2x8Gb Memory cost me $130+
PSU cost me $150
Case cost me $55
Plus windows @ $100
And Blu-Ray drive cost me $150.
Monitor (ASUS VD278H) cost me $460

He can do anything like that with $600? (400 pounds?)?

Did you even calculate in the cost of a monitor??

Did you? Do a full system; and cost it for us to look at your idea/spec dude.
Until then;
I still think that there is nothing wrong with a good used office spec PC if you look at the compnents that can be found on the manufacturers website with the product model code; to stick your top end cards in.

Cut your cloth according to the situation.
with 400 pouinds to spend ifhe spends over 100 on a PSU, how much do you think he will have left for everything else?

I didn`t see that he said the ammount he had to spend was infinite either. 1100 quids was the figure given.

Why would he get an i7? No better than the i5 for gaming
Wow you gort ripped off on the mobo
why 16gb of ram?
What kind of a psu do you have!?
Blue ray $50 if he needs one
He does not need such an expensive monitor
On your linked pc it has a bad case so he could not use that, bad psu cant sli, bad quality mobo.
Dunno where you are seeing the 770 price it would only be £500 for 2...
He did not ask for a monitor or a blue ray drive or 16gb of ram.
Mobo can't SLI so the only thing you could use would be the cpu and the crappy keyboard+mouse

And you comment like a first-class snotty adolescent turd, diazalon. At least the other commenter's are polite; even if they found a single barrel-scraping 770 price they successfully dug out.

P.S.
The prices I quoted are (dollar converted) from AMAZON, where I buy all my gear from, in the country I live in. Its pretty RELIABLE nad you actually receive what you pay for. Try that at Blockbuster.
;)
Anyway, the i7 4770 has gone up in price here. Today its $343 USD converted, on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.co.jp/3-40GHz-8M%E3%82%AD%E3%83%A3%E3%83%83%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A5-LGA1150-Haswell-BX80646I74770/dp/B00CO8TBNS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383233526&sr=8-1&keywords=i7+4770

Some prices I looked at on UK Play.com. But where I currently live the prices have not dropped yet for GTX 770 and the like.

Also; I guess the asker for "SUGGESTIONS" HE DECIDES ON might have considered a pair of top end 4Gb GTX 760`s if he really wanted barrel-scraping prices. But that would leave him a lot more CASH SPARE for a better Mo-bo and better gaming chip; which is also important for smooth gaming; and could be more important than an UNBALANCED (bottlenecked) system?

Brighter than you think, boyo.

never ever look on play for GPU's dude. Its never the cheapest and never has stock or choice , and i have seen components on there before 3 times as expensive!

Even the evgas and asus's are 250 quid at the moment. I didnt just dig it out. That is the price..(please dont spout the barrel scaring dug out nonsense!)- You were just wrong and have a very bad source for comparison

as i said dont use game as a comparison for computer components.

Personlay at a price point of 1.1k

I would advise for a half decent MOBO and a single 780(380 quid), 8 gig ram, a decent big case- with room to upgrade , dont spend to much on the HD- again that can be upgraded and he may as well go for the amd 8350..

He can then upgrade without need to swap out the old MOBO(sli the 780) add ram and a ssd when needed- that rig should last for a few years at least

Does that incude having to buy a monitor; and if so what size (23-inch? 1080p?); because some people on here might seem to think you get them for free.

What would be the point of a GTX 780 on a 23-inch monitor?

Think about it.
