I need to buy a new PSU for my gaming/rendering PC and I was wondering what would be the best choise. Am am going to be running sli and also 2 HDD's and an SSD, I have about £120-140 to spend, I would like it to be preferably red themed, or just plain black. Also I would like it to be reliable, with a good certification. Modular please.

Thanks

Here you go:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Series-Platinum-CP-9020...
7 year warranty
80 plus platinum
fully modular
high quality

This would leave you with some extra power to spare for more hdds or lots of overclocking.
If you have any preferences or want more watts or something just ask me but 860 should be enough :)

A good 650w would run that lot.

I was originally going to get this PSU but I read up about it and a lot of people were saying it has bad coil whining? Do you know anything about that?

Here's what it says incase you can't find it, The Cooler Master V is the same PSU as the AX860

But cheaper so why pay more money to get the same thing

The AX860i is a waste of money becasue the Corsair Link software you pay all that money for is broken

The normal AX860 is just overpriced and has coil whine

The V850 is cheaper and CM has fixed the coil whine at least i have not heard or seen a single V with coil whine yet

The V850 is Gold not Platinum, 5 year warranty not 7 £10 less only. The thing is that the problem is not on every psu its on some of them so its taking a risk that you might get some coil whine.
If you are scared then get the EVGA one maybe?
