So I built a computer recently and the mobo came with the Asus Wifi Go add-on, I get a terrible connection in the room I have my computer in, even though my laptop gets good connection in the same room, and I am not sure why. Maybe I should use a power-line adapter to get internet to my desktop? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you install and place the antenna? I get connection with my WiFi-GO that is not outstanding but in no way worse than the average wireless internet connection. I'd say its a better quality signal than my old Dell laptop for sure.

I do have the antenna installed, and all the drivers from what I'm aware of. Also when I turn my desktop on, the internet speed for the rest of my house plummets. I get anywhere between 50 and 500 kbps.
