Shoud I Crossfire my 7870ghz Edition, or go for the R9 290x?

Hi all,
I was just wondering if I should xfire my 7870 GHz Edition card or get a R9 290x. I am open to many suggestions for a new gfx card. Here are my system specs.

Mobo: ASRock 970 Extreme 4
CPU: AMD FX-8150 @3.6ghz
Ram: 16gb gskill @1600mhz
Video card Gigabyte 7870 GHz Edition @Stock
PSU Rosewill 750 watt (I plan to get some corsair psu soon)
Case: Cooler Master haf 912
HDD: 2tb Seagate Barracuda

The 290x will be faster than crossfire ghz 7870's however, it's only a $170 upgrade for another 7870 - 290x is going to cost you $550

If it were me I'd probably opt for crossfire 7870's as it's still going to be really fast.
