Hello i just replaced my Pentium d 925 with my Q6600 and then when i boot windows XP i get blue screen and it reboots itself again and if i want to go in safe mode it reboots also. I am now on Windows 7 on the same PC but i can not boot back into WinXP. What can i do to fix this?

Thanks in advance

Solution
hit F8 on start up. Select Disable automatic restart on system failure. and at the bottom it will give a stop code. post back what it says.

Yes replacing the cpu back works i tried it. but now i am going to repair install XP because i need the files.... Or is there any other solution to get XP running again on my q6600 Thanks

Not quite sure why its giving that error on a CPU upgrade.

Just for shits and giggles you can try going into Device manager and uninstall all the Processors. Then shut down. Swap them. And start back up. Doubt that will work but hey ya never know
