hey guys i want to play the latest game such as bf4, watch dogs, assasin creed, cod ghost.. but i heard AMD is better for these future games because AMD has this thing called mantle.. i have about 1500$USD to spare. currently what im thinking of is this:

CPU: AMD FX8350
Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
RAM: Gskill RipjawsX XM Blue 2x4GB DDR3 1600mhz
HDD: WD 1TB Caviar Blue HDD
SSD: Plextor M5S 128GB SSD
ODD: Liteon 24x Sata DVDRW
PSU: Seasonic X650/Corsair RM650
Cooler:
Chasis: Phantom 410
GPU:

the blank ones are basically unsure. as Toxic R9-280x in my country is limited i cant get it. R9-290x is way too expensive. the only thing i can do is either get the normal R9-280x or R9-280x Vapor. Plus, i 've heard that the FX8350 consumes too much power and is very hot easily. I plan to OC to 5.0ghz in the future.

So that leaves me a second thought of getting an Intel build? TQVM guys! appreaciate every comment! If there are any changes on any components please advise! TQ once again! Have a nice day

Solution
Intel for sure :) less watts if you oc this 8350 to 5.0ghz you need 350 @ 400w only for the cpu more 300w per card you place.

if you build an 4670k or 3770k you need 550 porwersupply for a single card and OC the cpu. 750w for sli or crossfire...

I will look the powerbill before trow some money!

i am in a similar position and i am slightly wayed towards intel - although amd components themselves are cheaper, you will find yourself having to pay more on supporting componenets like coolers, PSU, powerbill so the relative performance prices are simialr for amd and intel.

I'd tread carefully buying from classifieds. If there's nothing that is brand new, in box, don't buy it. There's plenty of legitimate stores in Malaysia - Newegg even has distribution there. Check the master sticky at the top of this forum that I created.

Im now confused because BF4 and other future games will use 8cores, AMD FX8350 will benefit from it. But what about the i5-3570k? / i5-4670k? what does it benefit from? please clarify me guys im really confused whether to get the 8350 or the intel CPU. Im not a heavy overclocker and i dont consider it as my hobby, I'd just want to play my games smoothly at ultra settings.. tqvm guys

if you don't wanna OC don't buy the 8350. Is a good processor when overclocked. if want a cheap processor good for gaming and have a little room to OC get the i5 3470. you can run with stock cooler 38x100mhz (3800mhz) original is 3.3ghz. I got one here and is good to work. good to play games and no have a huge power needs.

thanks for the reply man! appreaciate it! Im still not famillar with overclocking CPU. it seems hard even tho i read the tutorials.. so OC = 8350? wow that means 8350 before oc already use high power consumption + heat if OC it = crazy hot and higher power consumption..

how is the 3570k vs the 4670k? I'd overclock a lil tho. Cooler probably getting the kraken x40 / some air coolers
GC right now im probably getting the r9 290x. After getting that GC im already broke lol. so yeah! thanks again! (i'll look more into OC-ing a CPU now.)

I'm referring to this thread here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1643019/guide-international-users-links-part-stores.html

Apparently the Newegg Malaysia site isn't open yet but it says coming soon.

oh ok. thanks!
Btw, Just wanna ask whats so good bout intel? i mean bf4 will ultilise 8cores. isnt that a benefit of getting amd cpu instead of Intel? and that 8cores theory also applies to other future games.
I still dont really get how to overclock after watching youtube videos @.@
