Alright,so I just got my HD7970(I already had the HD7950) And I installed my graphics card, put the crossfire bridge on both of the cards, started my pc,and the software installed the HD7970's driver itself. Now I wanted to try it out on one of the games called Combat Arms. I start the game,it's at the loading screen and all I see is the screen flashing with white borders. You know when back in the days you played movies with your VCR and it would have that shitty quality with the black and gray borders? That's what I'm getting but white. Once the loading was done,I had to login my account and the screen went totally white. I minimized the game, and everything was normal when I came back to my desktop...any ideas why it's doing that? :??:

I'm almost positive they will not crossfire. They need to be the same model.

Well I've been told that as long as they have the same processor, they should work together. And I've asked alot of people if 7950 and 7970 would work togethere, and they said yes,but the 7970's core speed would downclock itself to match the 7950's speed.

Yeah I was just reading about it since I answered you. Apparently they can work together, but it's not without it's complications.

Could be the drivers. Also, some games simply aren't optimized for crossfire. (WoW for example)

Have you tried other games? You could also try to run with only your new card to make sure it works properly in the first place.

What GPU is in your first slot? try changing that up.
are your settings set up to Xfire
and can I get your MoBo make and model

7970 should drop down performance to 7950, at least that's what I was told

I did try Battlefield 4,same thing on that. And yes I checked if my 7970 is working properly. Not having issues with it at all.

First slot it's the 7950. My MoBo is a Asrock Z84 Extreme4 and yes my settings were set up for Crossfire in Catalyst.

Other games don't work. I just tried switching the 7970 to the 1st slot and it still does the same thing :/

If you've just installed the 2nd card and already had another card installed, I'd highly recommend removing the drivers using AMDs removal tool and then reinstalling fresh - *AFTER* rebooting do the new install.

I had some issues w/Crossfire after installing the 2nd card and this cleared it right up.

You should also make sure the Crossfire bridge is completely seated (it takes some decent force to get it on) and also make sure you've plugged the HDMI cable into the TOP card (this is the "master" card).

Try this and let us know what happens.

*Edit* - you should also check that there may be a BIOS/UEFI setting needed to enable a multi-GPU setup as well
I would also suggest using the 7970 as primary (top) card as this will be doing most of the heavy lifting.

Awesome! Glad to hear! Please chose the best answer on the thread!

Also, can you let us know (if you know) which part(s) of my suggestion worked?

Thanks!
